Volkswagen able to build 1 million EVs a year in China from 2023 -Nikkei -Breaking

BERLIN (Reuters), – Volkswagen (DE) plans to produce 1 million electric cars per year in China by 2023. This is according to Ralf Brandstaetter, chief executive of Volkswagen Passenger Cars. The new Anhui plant will help.

It is a joint venture between China’s Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co. (JAC), which was first announced in 2019. The plant will be producing 300,000 electric vehicles per year and production will start in 2023.
