The rose was 0.60% at the Sydney close.
They were the top performers at the session News Corp. DRC (ASX :), rose 5.73% to trade at 33.38, up 1.81 points. Meanwhile, Pointsbet Holdings Ltd (ASX:) added 5.11% or 0.25 points to end at 5.14 and Nuix Ltd (ASX:) was up 4.95% or 0.07 points to 1.49 in late trade.
Seek Ltd (ASX) was the worst performer of the session, falling 3.84% or 1.13 point to close at 28.31. ARB Corporation Ltd. (ASX) lost 3.61%, or 1.66 points, to close at 44.33. Adbri Ltd. (ASX) fell 2.68% (0.080) to 2.910.
Stocks that are rising outnumbered those on the Sydney Stock Exchange 797 to 613 and 366, respectively.
The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, was down 6.73% to 14.690.
For April delivery, Gold Futures rose 0.17% to $1807.25/troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 0.56%, or 0.51, to reach $90.78/barrel in March. The April Brent oil contract, however, rose 0.44%, or 0.40, to trade at $91.51/barrel.
AUD/USD dropped 0.34% to 0.7116. AUD/JPY was at 81.82 by 0.32%.
The US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.1% at 95.275.
