Security researcher 3xp0rt has reported that a new variant of malware known as Mars Stealer can attack more than 40 crypto-wallets using browsers like MetaMask (NASDAQ:) Wallet) and Coinbase. It also includes popular extensions for two-factor authentication (2FA).
This malicious software uses a grab function to steal private keys once it is downloaded. It does not know that the user may have used other channels such as torrent clients, file-hosting sites, or any other suspicious downloaders.
