John Legend, Chrissy Teigen selling their NYC mega-home — look inside


Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are selling their New York City residence for $18 Million.

It is located in Manhattan’s trendy Nolita neighbourhood. the property at 374 Broome Street – a building known as the Brewster Carriage House – consists of two adjoining penthouses, which the couple originally planned to combine, but never did. Legend and Teigen purchased one unit in 2018 for nearly $9 million and another in 2020 for $7.7 millions.

The units together have an inside footprint exceeding 6,100 sq. feet. They occupy the entire sixth and part of fifth floors. These units come with additional 3,300 square footage of outdoor living space.

Listing agent Noble BlackCNBC Make It is told that, if the units are combined, there would be six to eight bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. He also suggests that each unit could be sold separately.

The 19th century building, which was built in 1856 and is still standing, was once a factory for Brewster and Co., an elite horse carriage business that served prominent New York City families such as the Vanderbilts and Astors.

The building survived a fire in 1950s followed by decades of neglect that began in 1970s. reportedly falling down. In 2005, filmmaker-turned-developer Ross Morgan bought the 26,000-square-foot building for $9 million and began a condominium conversion, according to the Real Deal.

It boasts 12 foot ceilings, three gas fireplaces with multiple skylights, multiple skylights, and milled-white oak floors.

It was transformed into nine apartments in 2012 and converted to its present configuration. A part-time security guard is also employed in the building.

They don’t live in the Broome Street apartments. They reportedly have a 11,000-square foot home in Beverly Hills that is their primary residence. paid $17.5 million in 2020. According to The Journal, Legend and Teigen plan to purchase another New York City home.

Legend explained that the couple is looking for an apartment that does not require renovation, and they don’t want to have to combine the two penthouse units.

According to Black, the listing has had strong interest from both domestic and international buyers – both as a primary home and as a pied-à-terre. Black states that the property’s location and layout make it attractive to many buyers.[It]”It will be entertaining to discover who the buyer is.”

Legend and Teigen sold an additional home in Beverly Hills last year. It was a 7-bedroom property with 9 bathrooms. for $16.8 million. Forbes reports that the house did not have enough bedrooms to accommodate the large family of Teigen and their children.
