Frontier Airlines temporarily halts all flights after tech issue -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Frontier Airlines temporarily halted flights Monday due to a technical issue. This was according the Federal Aviation Administration and the airline.
Frontier spokeswoman stated that they were working to restart operations. In a notice, the FAA stated that all Frontier flights would be grounded nationwide due to “automation issues”. This was at Frontier’s request.
Flightradar24 tweets at 11:08 am. ET (1608 GMT), Frontier said that they “currently have no airborne flight right now”. FlightAware also reported that Frontier cancelled 20% and delayed 23% of its flights Monday.
A spokeswoman for the airline stated that “the issue was identified” and had been solved. “We are currently working to restore the flight schedule for the remainder of the day.” The airline didn’t immediately indicate when they would be resume flying.
Frontier and other problems were the cause of all these issues. Spirit Airlines Monday’s announcement by (NYSE:) revealed plans for a merger in a $2.9 Billion deal. This would make the airline America’s fifth largest.
