Colexion has raised more than $5 million to fund its celebrity NFT platform. In its seed round, the platform raised $1.8m and a further $3.2m from a private round. Colexion’s seed rounds included investments from the likes of Polygon, HyperEdge Capital, GSR, Alan Howard of Brevan Howard, C² Ventures, Jump Trading investments, Gains Associate, Oracles Investment Group (OIG), Good Games Lab, Maven Capital, ZBS Capital, Titan Ventures, ICO Pantera, and more.

Moreover, Colexion’s Utility Token CLXN will arrive in several launchpads such as Firestarter, Prostarter, Redkite, Scaleswap, etc. Users can also trade CLXN at some top exchanges. Meanwhile, Colexion’s token and native NFTs will be traded on the built-in marketplaces alongside multiple Tier A exchanges.

Colexion plans to use $5 million of the funds to create the infrastructure necessary to introduce NFTs to the mainstream. Celebrity NFT platforms have grown significantly as an Asian NFT market. This platform has been embraced by private investors and supporters. The NFT has gained momentum since a Trump Card NFT drop that involved 30 celebrity NFT users. This NFT drop was the largest in this category.

Colexion’s primary focus is licensing celebrity NFTs and ensuring they remain affordable for the masses. Some of these celebrities are prominent Indian film stars and international cricket players. The NFT celebrity platform holds exclusive rights for many dozen Indian cricket stars, Bollywood and Tollywood celebrities, legend athletes and several Indian sports leagues.
