WASHINGTON (Reuters] – U.S. president Joe Biden intends to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron shortly, Jen Psaki, White House press secretary said Tuesday.
Psaki declared that she would continue to maintain close contacts with her French counterparts regarding any Russian invasion into Ukraine.
According to her, Macron and Biden have spoken twice over the past week. She added, “I anticipate he will soon be engaged to me.”
This week, Macron became the first Western leader to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin after Russia’s massed troops in Ukraine.
