© Reuters (Reuters) – Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:) Inc announced Wednesday that California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, DFEH (DFEH) will file a lawsuit against Tesla alleging racial discrimination and harassment.
According to Tesla, the lawsuit is focused on misconduct at Fremont’s Fremont plant between 2015 and 2019.
After the Department files its lawsuit, the electric-car manufacturer stated that it would request the court to suspend the case.
DFEH didn’t immediately reply to a Reuters inquiry for comment.
In the last year, there have been a number of lawsuits against the company for racial discrimination allegations and sexual harassment.
Two female employees sued it last year. Both lawsuits alleged a hostile work environment against women in the factory of Fremont, California, which is where the carmaker’s headquarters are located.
