Indonesia central bank keeps policy rates unchanged, as expected -Breaking

JAKARTA, Reuters – The central bank of Indonesia kept the main rate at record lows Thursday as per expectations. It stressed that its goal is to preserve currency stability and financial market stability, while also supporting economic recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bank Indonesia (BI), as expected by Reuters poll, maintained its benchmark 7 day reverse repurchase rate of 3.50%. This rate is unchanged from February.

BI maintained rates for overnight deposits and loans at 2.75% & 4.25% respectively.
