(Reuters) – Futures for Canada’s major stock index rose on Thursday, as oil prices increased. Investors are still waiting for key U.S. inflation data to determine if the U.S. Federal Reserve will raise its rate.

March futures on the S&P/TSX index were up 0.1% at 7:00 a.m. ET.

After rallying due to an unexpected fall in inventories during the previous session and as investors waited for the U.S.-Iran nuke talks, oil prices rose Thursday. This was because they were anticipating a rapid increase in crude supply to global markets.[O/R]
