(Reuters) – Apple Inc (NASDAQ) will increase the salaries of many U.S. retailers employees starting this month, Bloomberg News reported Friday.

Based on the role and location of each store, these hikes will apply to all sales employees, Genius Bar technicians and senior hourly workers.

According to the report, raises are not applicable to all employees.

Apple plans to expand its retail business. It believes that the combination of strategies created during COVID-19 and before will help make Apple’s stores more popular.

It reportedly gave $1,000 in one-time bonuses to employees of stores ahead of busy holidays last year.

Apple didn’t immediately reply to Reuters’s request for comment.

Tim Cook was paid nearly $100million in 2021 thanks to stock options, which is about 1,447 more than the average employee.
