BERLIN, (Reuters) – The German economy appears to be coping well with supply bottlenecks in important intermediate goods as well as raw materials. This was reported Monday by the Economy Ministry.

According to the ministry’s monthly report, industrial companies anticipate that bottlenecks will ease by midyear. This, in conjunction with high order backlogs makes for a more optimistic outlook.

The report stated that an increase in supply and lower prices for energy should help to reduce inflation.
