Unruly passenger incident forces American Airlines flight to divert to Kansas City -Breaking

© Reuters. (Reuters] – A Sunday flight from American Airlines (NASDAQ 🙂 to Washington was diverted to Kansas City when crew members and passengers subdued a stifling passenger.
American Airlines released a statement saying that Flight 1775, from Los Angeles, to Washington, D.C., touched down in Kansas City International Airport just after 2:30 pm local time. Law enforcement was there to meet it.
The airline did not provide further information about the incident, except to say that an unruly passenger who displayed erratic behavior was eventually subdued and helped by crew members.
U.S. airlines reported an unprecedented number of violent, disruptive incidents in 2021. U.S. Justice Department Tuesday stated it was fully committed to holding disruptors of airline passengers accountable for violating federal law.
