Biden addresses nation on Ukraine-Russia crisis

Although the Kremlin denied instigating conflict, they accuse Ukraine and its allies with provoking a crisis. Russia also made a number of security demands. These included that NATO never recognize Ukraine as an alliance member.
Kyiv long wanted to be a member of the military bloc. An attack on any one member is an attack against them all. Russia invaded Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula and annexed it in 2014.
