(Reuters] – The Omicron virus of coronavirus has been spreading rapidly towards Europe’s east, according to the World Health Organization. They are urging European authorities to strengthen vaccination and implement other preventive measures.

Hans Kluge, WHO Europe’s regional director for Europe, stated that in the last two weeks cases of COVID-19 increased by more than doubling in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus as well as Georgia, Russia, Ukraine and Georgia.
