Blackstone to buy Preferred Apartment Communities in $5.8 billion deal

(Reuters) – Blackstone, (NYSE:) Inc. has accepted to acquire a trust for real estate investments Preferred Apartment Communities The Wall Street Journal reports that Inc has agreed to a deal worth $5.8billion with Inc.

According to the report, $25 per share will be paid by the world’s largest alternate asset manager for the owner of a rental apartment.

Reuters reached Blackstone Apartment Communities and Preferred Apartment Communities but they did not respond immediately to our requests.
