(Reuters) – Chipmaker Nvidia (NASDAQ:) Corp on Wednesday forecast current-quarter income above analysts’ estimates, banking on the supercharged demand for information facilities.

The corporate is the world’s largest maker of graphic and synthetic intelligence chips. With tech companies venturing into the “metaverse” and a spike in demand for information facilities, the corporate has raked in billions in income.

Nvidia expects first-quarter income of $8.1 billion, plus or minus 2%, in contrast with analysts’ estimates of $7.29 billion, in line with IBES information from Refinitiv.
