Exclusive-World Bank proposal would shift $600 million from Afghan trust

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The World Bank management approved a plan that would repurpose $600million of just over $1Billion in frozen funds to help Afghan families, communities and education.

Sources said that the World Bank’s Board will review the proposal March 1. The decision to disburse the funds is up to donors to the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund.
