NEW YORK (Reuters] – Some supply chain issues could gradually recede over time. This will ease some inflationary pressures. It also helps the Federal Reserve reach its goal of controlling inflation and not causing a recession. John Williams, New York Fed president, stated Friday.

Williams told a virtual gathering organized by New Jersey City University that “my expectation is that [we] can manage, or if you’ll, the soft landing which we often discuss in monetary policies, which means keeping economic growth basically in a strong position” while maintaining more equilibrium between demand and supply.
