‘Euphoria’ star Sydney Sweeney wrote a 5-year career plan when she was 12

Sydney Sweeney is trending almost every week on Twitter because of her role in Euphoria, HBO’s gritty drama about high school students from California.

The 24-year-old actress plays Cassie Howard, a popular cheerleader who’s looking for love and validation in everyone except herself – a quest that often lands her in hot water, like the time she (spoiler alert) started sneaking around with her best friend’s ex-boyfriend.

Sweeney has worked in Hollywood over 10 years, even though she’s now an international celebrity. According to an interview she did with, she created a 5-year career plan when she was 12 and showed it to her parents via PowerPoint. This convinced them that she would be allowed to work as an actor. British GQ

It said that if she auditioned to film X, agents Y or Z would recruit her, then she’d book this movie where she’ll be able to meet the producer,” Iana Murray reports.

The family traveled between Sweney’s Spokane (Washington) and Los Angeles over the next several years to audition for roles. Although she was offered small parts on “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “Criminal Minds,” it wasn’t as much of the Emmy-winning material that she had imagined.

Sweeney also was going through heartbreak in her private life. Her parents divorced and the Sweneys lost Spokane’s house.

Five years passed quickly – and Sweeney recalls the exact moment she realized her career hadn’t panned out the way she planned it, on the morning of her 18th birthday.

British GQ reported that she believed when she turned 18 I would have enough money to purchase my parents’ old home back. It would have been possible to buy that house back if we had bought it. [brought]My parents are back together.

Her years of planning and hard work paid off a few short months later. First, she booked Amy Adams’ “Sharp Objects” and then “Everything Sucks!” in the ’90s.

Her role in the movie “Euphoria”, she got from one audition tape. Sweeney isn’t the only actor she has worked with HBO recently. She starred this summer in “White Lotus”, a comedy about high-end resort guests.

Sweeney told the story once Influencer IntelligenceShe could be an architect or lawyer in another life. But it’s clear that her original dream job – actress – is working out just fine.

Sweeney’s self-determination is a major factor in her success. British GQ reported that Sweney studies entertainment law at school, and also runs her production company.

She stated that she has experienced “the way I do not want to live” and that her future children will never have to experience the same difficulties or stress the way my parents did. “Nor would I like to see my family stress as much as they used to.”

Elle continues, “I try to control everything as much as I can and have all the pieces in place to be secure.” My goal is to inspire younger generations with the belief that anyone can accomplish anything even if they don’t have all the resources or connections.
