PARIS (Reuters), Jean-Luc Brunel, a French long-standing modeling agent, was arrested in December 2020 in connection to an investigation into sexual assault allegations and harassment. On Saturday, the Paris prosecutor said that Brunel had been found dead inside his cell.
This investigation opened August 2019 and was an initial inquiry to see if Jeffrey Epstein (a financier convicted) had committed sex crimes against French victims or on French territory.
Brunel, now 76, was a founder of a U.S. model management company along with Epstein. He denied any wrongdoing regarding his relationship with Epstein.
According to a spokesperson from the prosecution’s office, Bruel was discovered hanged inside his Paris cell at the Sante prison around 1.30 a.m. Saturday. According to the spokesperson, an investigation was opened.
