SAO PAULO, Reuters – Nestle SA said Tuesday that it would almost double its investment in Brazil by 2022 compared to a year ago as it constructs a pet food factory in Brazil and seeks to increase its industrial production capacity.

Nestle said the annual investments will exceed 1.8 billion reais ($355.59 mln), which was up from 939 mln reais in 2021. Nestle added that 40% of this total amount would be received by its Purina facility in Santa Catarina, which has already begun construction.
