Sri Lanka open to dialog with IMF

COLOMBO, (Reuters) – Sri Lanka has opened discussions with the International Monetary Fund and other multilateral lenders to help it through its worst economic crisis since years, a Cabinet spokesperson said Tuesday.

Sri Lanka had sought IMF aid multiple times before and we remain open to the possibility. Ramesh Pathirana (plantation minister) said that we are still in contact with IMF and multilateral lenders, such as Asian Development Bank.”
