The World Reacts -Breaking

Russian troops enter Ukraine: How the World ReactsRussian troops entered the eastern Ukraine territories on Monday night. It happened just hours after Vladimir Putin had recognized Donetsk’s independence from Luhansk. These are two Ukrainian regions that Moscow-backed separatists have occupied since 2014.
Leaders around the world condemned Kremlin as violating international agreements. They also accused it of creating pretexts for war.
NATO and ES allies are preparing to issue sanctions against Kremlin. However, markets react harshly.
Oil rushes, crypto drops and gold
Both stock and cryptocurrency markets were affected by increasing geopolitical tension. Altcoins declined sharply in the last 24 hours. Bitcoin climbed to $37K and then tested $36.28 early Tuesday.
Over the last 24-hours, crypto markets worldwide have fallen by about 6% to $140 Billion. They currently stand at $1.67 Trillion.
In the interim, the gold price had reached nine-month peak levels. Oil and gas prices jumped accordingly 10% and 7% following the upcoming supply disruption fears after Western democracies put economic sanctions on Russia, one of the world’s biggest suppliers of oil and gas.
Prices for barrels reached $99.38, which is the highest level since 2014. Experts warn that it could rise to $120 per barrel and fuel global inflation.
Reactions from around the world
Russian invasion drew backlash around the globe, with world leaders condemning the regime’s aggression and violation of international laws.
President Biden condemned Putin’s “blatant violations of international law” and confirmed the United States continues to closely consult with Allies and partners, including Ukraine, on next steps.
To stop Russia from profiting from its flagrant violations of international law, I signed an Executive Order. For the next steps we are still in close consultation with Allies as well as partners including Ukraine. pic.twitter.com/ZS81ivAPgs

I strongly condemn the #Russian recognition of Donetsk/Luhansk as part of #Ukraine. It erodes efforts to resolve the conflict & violates Minsk agreements. #NATO supports Ukraine sovereignty & territorial integrity. We urge Moscow to stop fuelling conflict & choose diplomacy. https://t.co/H4yczPG8XM

The legendary matamatician Nassim Nicholas Taleb referred to the old Latin saying “Hannibal at the gates” used to express fear or anxiety. In the current geopolitical environment, Bitcoin acts as an anti-inflation hedge and safe haven.
Hannibal adportas. Not a hedge ag. stocks. Bitcoin, however, is not an investment that can be used to hedge against geopolitical risks.

Lark, New Zealand-based cryptocurrency advocate Lark Davies doubts further World War III escalatements and claims that nobody wants the nuclear war stage. He blamed financial troubles for not reacting quickly enough to the Russian attack on Ukraine.
Over the breakaway regions in Ukraine, World War 3 will not occur. Over this, no one would be willing to take on nuclear destruction. Unfortunately, the market continues to react negatively to news cycles. #bitcoin #crypto
