Wall Street Opens Lower as Tensions in Ukraine Build -Breaking

Investing.com — On Tuesday, stocks opened down after an extended holiday weekend in America. This was due to heightened concerns about Ukraine tensions.
As of 9:00 AM ET, the dropped 198 points or 0.5% while the fell 0.1%.
Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged the independence of the two regions that broke away from Ukraine’s eastern Ukraine and sent troops there. These actions were swiftly condemned by Western nations, who imposed sanctions by the U.S. as well as European countries. Germany has stopped Nord Stream 2’s gas pipeline. It was originally designed to bring gas from Russia. Reuters reported Tuesday that both the U.S.A and European Union had prepared additional sanctions.
Big tech stocks, such as Apple Inc. (NASDAQ;), Microsoft Corporation(NASDAQ:), or Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ.) fell while oil prices soared. The U.S. benchmark, was up 3% during morning trading while the international standard rose 1.7%.
