Allbirds (BIRD) reports Q4 2021 results meet estimates

AllbirdsAfter-hours trading on Wednesday saw shares fall despite sneaker retailer reporting strong sales and a positive outlook for the full year.

The shares were down around 4% at the time. Allbirds shares have fallen 60% since their first trade, which was $21.21. when it debuted on the Nasdaq last November. On Wednesday, shares fell to an intraday record low of $7.98

Based on an analysis of Refinitiv analysts, here’s what the company did during its fourth quarter. It is compared to Wall Street’s expectations.

  • Per share loss: 9cs, compared to a loss expected of 9cs
  • Revenue: $97.2 million vs. $91.8 million expected

From a loss last year of $9.4million, which was 18 cents per shares, its net loss over the past three months has increased to $10.7 million (or 9 cents per share) Refinitiv analysts surveyed similar results.

From $79.3 million one year prior, revenue increased 23% to $97.2million. This was higher than the $91.8 million estimate.

Allbirds stated that it was able take advantage of the strong holiday demand in America due to the inventory position at the end of the quarter.

Joey Zwillinger (CEO) and co-founder of Allbirds said Allbirds enjoyed the best two days for sales over holidays, “reflecting the power our omnichannel model.”

Allbirds estimates that 2022 will see revenue of between $355 and $365 millions. Analysts expected $353 million.
