Aerospace supplier Safran increased titanium stocks as Ukraine tensions rose -Breaking

PARIS (Reuters), – French Aerospace Supplier Safran (PA:) Thursday’s announcement by the PA stated that it has sufficient titanium resources for several months, having increased its stocks since the beginning of the year.

Safran uses titanium for its long-haul aircraft parts and landing gear. Russia is less dependent than Russia, though Russia’s VSMPO AVISMA remains the largest single supplier.

Olivier Andries, chief executive of Olivier Andries said that the organization had watched the situation over several weeks. “We’ve decided from the beginning of this year to expand our stock of titanium through distributors in Germany.

Experts say that Western aerospace firms that heavily rely on VSMPO/AVISMA long-term supplies have increased their buffer stocks for the event of a trade war.
