Fed’s Bostic open to four or more hikes this year if high inflation persists -Breaking

(Reuters) – If inflation is high, Raphael Bostic of Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank stated on Thursday that it may be necessary to raise interest rates by up to 4 times in the future.

Bostic stated that he is open to changing this once we have more information about how the economy is developing. “The data might come in perhaps more pessimistic regarding how well we do on inflation, and if it does, I’m going move my view. Maybe 4 (hikes), depending on how things turn out.
