France’s Axa doubles profit in 2021, raises financial goals -Breaking

PARIS (Reuters), a French insurance company Axa announced Thursday that it had more than doubled its profit in the past year. It was recovering from pandemic claims during the worst COVID-19 crisis, and has set financial goals for 2023.

The statement by Europe’s second largest insurer stated that net income rose to 7.29 Billion Euros in 2021, from 3.16 Billion euros one year ago. This beats a median forecast of 6.72 Billion euros, compiled in Refinitiv.
