HELSINKI (Reuters – Finland’s Nokian Tyres stated Friday that it is shifting selected product lines from Russia into Finland and the United States in order to be prepared for any future sanctions.

According to Reuters spokespersons, the company also began transporting tyres to Russia from warehouses close to customers.

According to a spokesperson, while the tyre manufacturer has increased production in the United States and Finland, it still makes approximately 80% of its annual 20 million tyres per year in Russia. It also employs 1,600 workers in Russia.
