MOSCOW (Reuters) – French carmaker Renault (PA:). It will shut down its Moscow plant for car assembly next week because of “forced modification in existing logistic pathways” which have been causing shortages.

Renault claimed that Moscow will cease production between Feb 28 and March 5, adding that increased border controls in transit nations made it more difficult to obtain enough parts. It didn’t name any other countries.

According to the carmaker, it’s looking into options for resuming operations as quickly as possible.
