UNITED NATIONS – Russia vetoed a U.N. Security Council Resolution on Friday. It would have condemned Moscow’s invasion and deplored China’s abstention. This was a step that western countries see as a way to show Russia’s isolation from international affairs.
India and United Arab Emirates also abstain from the voting on text drafted by the U.S. Rest of 11 council members voted yes. The 193-member U.N. General Assembly is currently expected to vote on the resolution.
