BERLIN, (Reuters) – Germany said Saturday that it is open to imposing “targeted and operational” restrictions on Russia through the SWIFT international interbank payments system.
“We urgently work on ways to minimize the collateral harm of SWIFT decoupling in a manner that affects only the right people.” In a joint statement, Annalena Bock (Foreign Minister) and Robert Habeck (Economy Minister), stated that we require a focused and functional restriction on SWIFT.
