Meta to bar Russian state media from running ads, monetizing on platform -Breaking

(Reuters] – Meta Platforms Inc, parent company of Facebook (NASDAQ) announced Friday that it will prohibit Russian state media from using its platform to monetize or run ads anywhere on the planet.

Nathaniel Gleicher from the security policy team said that they continue to assign labels to other Russian state media. “These changes have already started rolling out, and will continue through the weekend.”

He stated, “We have now banned Russian state media advertising or monetizing anywhere on our platform in the world.”
