YouTube blocks RT, other Russian channels from generating revenue -Breaking

(Reuters) – YouTube suspended multiple Russian news channels on Saturday, including RT. The move was in response to a similar one by Meta Platforms Inc., Facebook’s owner (NASDAQ:).

“In light of extraordinary circumstances in Ukraine…we’re pausing a number of channels’ ability to monetize on YouTube, including several Russian channels affiliated with recent sanctions,” YouTube, which is operated by Alphabet (NASDAQ:) Inc’s Google, said in a statement.
