(Reuters) – At least 400,000 Ukrainian refugees are currently in EU territory, so the bloc must prepare for many millions more, EU Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johannsson stated Monday.

Sunday’s figure was at 300,000.

Johansson made the remarks during a stop at a Romanian border crossing. Since Feb. 24, more than 74,000 people have crossed into the country via Ukraine.
