New York City Comptroller to suggest Russian assets for divestment -Breaking

BOSTON (Reuters), – New York City Comptroller Brad Lander stated Sunday that he intends to identify Russian assets in pension boards for “consideration for divestment”, as a result of Russia’s invasion Ukraine.

Lander, in a statement sent by a spokesperson said that he will identify the assets following review and that final decisions about asset sales would be made by five different city pension boards. A spokesperson stated that the system held approximately $271million in Russian assets by February 23, 2009.
