Exclusive-Google drops RT, other Russian state media from its news features -Breaking

OAKLAND, Calif. (Reuters) – Alphabet (NASDAQ) Inc.’s Google said Tuesday that Russian state-funded publications such as RT had been removed from the news-related features of its Google News search engine, along with other sanctions, in light of Russia’s invasion Ukraine.

Kent Walker, Google’s global president, stated in a blog Tuesday that the company was taking “extraordinary measures” to prevent misinformation spreading online.
