Donald Trump Joins NFT Market

Parler social media platform has announced DeepRedSky its new premium NFT market DeepRedSky.

The platform’s inaugural non-fungible token collection features former United States President Donald Trump, and comes under name of ‘Official CryptoTRUMP Club’.

DeepRedSky claims to be a revolutionary NFT marketplace, which Parler believes will transform the NFT experience of creators as well as collectors. It aims to provide a simple and engaging user experience that connects collectors and fans with many brands, from media and politics to art and sport.

The company’s CEO George Farmer, says that the launch and development of an NFT marketplace is a necessary step in achieving Parler’s mission of becoming a frontrunner in Web 3.0 technologies. The app is currently used by more than 16 million people.

DeepRedSky, Parler’s blockchain-based platform for collecting NFTs has been launched. It will allow collectors to buy them with a credit card or receive them using any Solana compatible cryptocurrency wallet.

250 CryptoTRUMPS Issued

Parler will launch an NFT collection consisting of 250 images tokenized of former President 45th United States.

The collection presents each of the one-of-a-kind ‘CryptoTRUMPs‘ in various settings and elements, with different associated rarity categorizations such as “extremely rare”. The collection offers a range of Mr. Trumps, including laser-eye and military-dressed.

The 250 CryptoTRUMPS can be purchased for $2,750. 8 were sold within the first 24 hours.

Parler says that DeepRedSky will mint a total of 10,000 Donald Trump’s NFTs.

Melania Trump set the tone

Although they come in bulk, Donald Trump’s NFTs are not the first from the presidential family. Melania Trump was the former First Lady and she issued her own NFT Collection in January 2022.

The collection, called the ‘Head of State Collection‘, was also minted on the Solana blockchain and sold for $180,000 (1,800 SOL) two weeks later, though as crypto experts found when later tracing the sale, the former First Lady seems to have bought it herself.
