(Reuters) – Russell, global index publisher, announced Tuesday that a third rebalancing of its indexes will take place in June. This is the third rebalancing of their indexes since the onset COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s rebalancing will take place on May 6. Eligibility for reconstitution is determined by constituent market capitalization.

According to it, the U.S. equity markets will open on June 27 with new Russell U.S. exchange indexes. This annual event is often the most popular trading day.

FTSE Russell renews its indexes every Friday in June on the last Friday of each month. This includes the Russell 1000 index for large-cap names and the Russell 1000 index small-cap stocks. These components make up Russell 3000.

Style indexes include the Russell 1000 Growth and Russell 2000 Value.
