Credit Suisse names Rawra head of clean tech banking for Canada

(Reuters) – Credit Suisse According to a memo by Reuters, (SIX) has appointed Saad Rawra its head for clean-energy banking and Canada’s head of diversified Industries group. This will help the bank grow its global energy technology franchise.

Rawra will report to Credit Suisse Canada CEO Ron Lloyd, and Robert Santangelo as the co-heads of global infrastructure and energy banking. Rawra has been with National Bank Financial for three years as the head cleantech.

Rawra’s new position will see him responsible for Credit Suisse Canada’s platform in order to drive the “rapidly expanding Global Energy Tech franchise,” as per the memo.

Brookfield’s purchase of Westinghouse for $4.6 billion and the $13.2 billion acquisition of Power Solutions by Power Solutions were just a few of his deals. He also worked on Bombardier’s sale to its Aerostructures division for $1.2billion (OTC:).

Credit Suisse spokesperson confirms the contents of the memo.
