MOSCOW (Reuters), – Cryptocurrency platform Binance said Thursday that cardholders from sanctioned Russian banks will not be able use their cryptocurrency on its platform. It also confirmed that access to the platforms has been restricted for sanctioned persons.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges have decided to stay in Russia. They are breaking with mainstream finance, a move that experts believe weakens Western attempts at isolating Moscow in light of Ukraine’s invasion.
