Oath Keeper leader in Alabama pleads guilty to conspiracy in U.S. Capitol attack -Breaking

REUTERS/Leah Millis/File photo(Reuters) – The Alabama Oath Keepers militia chapter leader pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy and criminal charges related to the attack on the U.S. Capitol Jan. 6, 2021 by Trump supporters, according the U.S. Department of Justice on Wednesday.
Joshua James, 34, has pleaded guilty after he was implicated in the Capitol attack. According to a news release, James was the Oath Keepers regional leader who heads the Alabama chapter.
The news release stated that James will assist in the current investigation.
Five people were killed in the Capitol attack, one of them a Capitol Police Officer who later died.
