White House asks Congress for $32.5 billion to aid Ukraine, fight Covid

To continue the fight against Covid-19, and to help Ukraine weather an invasion by Russia, the White House asked Congress for $32.5 billion of emergency funds.
According to the latest request to Congress by the Congress, the Biden administration seeks $10 billion of emergency assistance to support humanitarian supplies, security forces, and economies in Ukraine, and central European countries. Office of Management and Budget.
OMB reports that another $22.5 billion will be spent on Covid antiviral therapies, testing vaccines and developing new vaccines to protect against future variations.
In letters addressed to Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and other top Democrats, OMB acting director Shalanda Young stated that she urged Congress to meet these urgent and critical needs in a comprehensive funding bill before the March 11th deadline.
Young wrote that even more money would be needed for Ukraine and Covid in the future.
