Russia’s state media reported Saturday that Ukraine’s Defense Ministry had announced a temporary ceasefire to permit civilians to flee the two cities of Mariupol (Russia)
According to some reports, the ceasefire is expected to begin at 10 AM Moscow Time (2 AM). ET).
The status of Ukraine’s ceasefire agreement or knowledge about Russia’s intention to annouce one was not clear at the moment.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, exit routes were agreed with Ukraine. However, there was no corroboration from Ukraine.
Mariupol is located approximately 30 miles (48km) from Volnovakha in Ukraine’s extreme southwest corner near the Russian frontier. Mariupol can be found on the Sea of Azov. (edited)
