NEW YORK, (Reuters) – Analysts are expecting a budget-friendly iPhone 5G and a new iPad at Apple Inc’s (NASDAQ:) spring product launch on Tuesday.

Apple is focusing on the top end of its flagship iPhone with 5G connectivity. As customers seek more power and better connectivity, Apple is displaying custom 5G antennas in the iPhone 13. This allows for quicker speeds.

Apple’s SE model, which is cheaper than the SE version, will be receiving a 5G update. This may encourage consumers who are budget-conscious to purchase new phones. While 5G is not available in all areas, the ability gives consumers some protection to ensure that the service will improve over time.

According to Neil Shah, analyst at Counterpoint Research, “Seeing as iPhone owners keep their phones for over 2.5 years,” 5G capabilities would appeal to iPhone users who want to upgrade to a 4G iPhone.

Apple’s current pricing for the SE at $399 raises the question of whether Apple will hike the cost or transfer higher costs to snarled supply chains.

Researcher IDC has found that the United States and Japan have been top iPhone SE markets in recent years.

Apple will also launch the iPad Air, an upgraded version of its flagship product.

Analysts wonder also if Tim Cook as Chief Executive will speak on the Ukrainian war. Apple stated that it had stopped all Russian product sales on March 1, in response to Russia’s invasion. Russian state media (RT News, Sputnik News) are no longer available on the Apple Store for downloading from outside Russia.
