Consumer goods giant Unilever to suspend its Russian imports, exports -Breaking

(Reuters] -Unilever, the largest European food manufacturer, became the first to cease Russian imports after Ukraine’s invasion.

Shell (LON? ) earlier said that it would no longer buy Russian oil. Britain, however, said it would banning imports and gradually phase them out in 2022.

Other major British consumer firms, including online fashion retailers ASOS (LON:) and Boohoo as well as food & clothing retailer Marks & Spencer (OTC:), have also shunned Russia or reduced exposure to the country.

Dove soap and Knorr soy products were made by Dove. They also said they would no longer invest in Russia.

Unilever (NYSE -) stated that while it continues to supply Russia with its daily essential food products and other hygiene products, it does not profit from Russia’s presence.
