BERLIN (Reuters). BERLIN (Reuters). BMW will slowly resume production at its Munich- and Dingolfing plant next week. This is after it suspended production earlier in the week because of supply chain problems caused by Russia’s invasion.

The company stated that production of the BMW Mini in Oxford would be stopped for two weeks.

It said that other European plants were functioning as usual in Germany and Europe, but it was expecting further disruptions from the Ukraine crisis, continuing chip shortages and continued interruptions.

European carmakers, including Audi (DE:), Porsche, and Volkswagen (DE) are having difficulty obtaining crucial wire harnesses because their suppliers in west Ukraine were destroyed by Russia’s invasion. This forced them to reduce production.
