According to CNBC, an unnamed source close to the situation said that a plane carrying Donald Trump had made an emergency landing when its engine failed.

Trump’s plane that was donated to him turned around after it took off, and returned to New Orleans the following night.

Trump had just addressed a donor retreat hosted by the Republican National Committee. He was returning to his Florida home, the Mar-a-Lago Club. Trump spoke out to say he is strongly contemplating a run for the White House 2024.

Politico says, Citing a source: “Audio recordings of communications between pilot and air traffic controller tower showed that landing was described by Politico as an emergency in nature.”

The Post, citing flight data, reported that Trump was aboard a Dassault Falcon 900 belonging to a GOP donor.

According to the newspaper, he was travelling with Secret Service advisors and support personnel.

The Post reported that the plane had left New Orleans Lakefront Airport and returned to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport for an emergency landing.

The news media reported on both sites that Trump had returned to his home in the early hours of Sunday morning after receiving a new plane from an anonymous donor.

CNBC asked for comments from Trump spokeswoman, but she did not respond immediately.
