Uber Eats now lets everyone pay for their own food in a group order

New group ordering options will be available by Uber. Users can choose the items they wish to order and make payment so that the customer doesn’t end up paying the full price. Uber Eats can also establish deadlines for groups orders, and will send reminders to remind customers when their order is ready.
An updated group order is created by one person choosing a restaurant, and sending a link to those people. The order is then sent as one single order. Everyone simply picks the restaurant they like and makes payment. You can’t order in groups, but only one person has to pay the entire amount.
As Covid-19 restrictions decrease and cases drop, more people will return to work and their friends begin to meet again. Uber first introducedGroup ordering began in 2019 but the pandemic hit a little later, and it was less common for people to stay together.
Uber’s Eats division has received significant investment. Eats was an important revenue driver when Uber’s ride-hailing business suffered from the pandemic.
